1. If this world turns its face from you
And becomes at odds with your contentment
١. إنْ أعرَضَتْ دُنياكَ عنكَ بِوَجهها
وغَدَتْ ومنها في رِضاكَ نِزاعُ
2. Then beware of its sons and protect yourself from their evil
For the sons will surely follow their mother
٢. فَاحذَرْ بَنِيْها واحترِزْ من شَرِّهم
إنَّ البَنِيْنَ لأُمِّهمْ أتْبَاعُ
