1. Abu Dulaf, your forbearance remained
Chained, complaining to God of its shackles,
١. أَبا دُلَفٍ السَماحَةَ لَم تَزَل
مُغَلَّلَةً تشكو إِلى اللَهِ غُلَّها
2. So my Lord gave you the good news of Qasim's birth,
And sent Gabriel to you, to unchain it.
٢. فَبَشَّرَها رَبّي بِميلاد قاسِمٍ
فَأَرسَلَ جِبريلاً إِلَيها فَحَلَّها
