1. My soul is weary of life and bored
As is the hot season in my time, it becomes tedious

2. Wherever I turn my face
I see nothing but hypocrisy ruling

3. Faces, damn their faces
Heads more deserving to be smashed

4. And people between ignorance and foolishness
Attacking nobility like hyenas

5. Barefoot and hungry people
No one among the people shows mercy or compassion

6. The worst of beasts is he who does not understand
And the blind deaf who does not see

7. It is the state Allah wanted for people
For a wisdom known to the Almighty

8. No hope in those among us who adopted Western ways
Nor in my old brother with turban and gown

9. Too long has our acting misery on earth lasted
So when will the tale come to an end?

10. And when will the curtain fall and the earth
With those on its surface be crushed?
