حذار فإن الليث قد فر نابه

1. Beware, for the lion has freed its claws,
And the skilled archer has drawn and cocked his bow.

١. حَذارِ فَإِنَّ اللَيثَ قَد فَرَّ نابُهُ
وَقَد أَوتَرَ الرامي المُصيبُ وَأَنبَضا

2. I rejoice for him who puts his hope in this day,
For he has attained what he desires though others have passed away.

٢. أُسَرُ بِمَن أَرجا إِلى اليَومِ يَومَهُ
فَأَدرَكَ ما يَهوى وَآسى لِمَن مَضى

3. I used to pray that my time might be delayed,
That I might one day see a day of justice dawn white.

٣. وَقَد كُنتُ أَدعو أَن تُؤَخَّرَ مُدَّتي
لَعَلّي أَرى يَوماً مِنَ العَدلِ أَبيَضا
